Tool
Cross-dock & consolidation planner
Describe your inbound and outbound flow and see which approach is worth a conversation.
Bolus operates its own docks in Scranton, Syracuse and Tonawanda, so freight can be transferred, re-sorted or combined before the outbound leg. This planner suggests which pattern usually fits your volume. It does not price the work or confirm operational feasibility.
Questions about this tool
What is the difference between cross-docking and consolidation?
Cross-docking transfers inbound freight to outbound trailers with little storage. Consolidation combines several partial shipments into fewer, fuller outbound loads.
When is direct delivery the better answer?
When there is one origin and one destination and no need to re-sort freight. Extra handling only pays off when it removes trucks or receiving events.
What if my freight needs to be held?
That becomes a warehousing or 3PL conversation rather than a dock transfer, and it is scoped with our team.
Does this confirm dock capacity?
No. It is an educational summary. Dock capacity, timing and pricing are confirmed in an operations review.
